    PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •Responsible for the final inspection of turbine parts after processing from the manufacturing floor using a variety of inspection tools to assure conformance with prescribed specifications and work instructions.

    •Ability to read and understand internal work instructions and customer specifications

    •Make final decision on acceptance of parts, both visually and dimensionally

    •Work directly with manufacturing and engineering personnel to discuss, review and resolve discrepancies with work instructions, parts or paperwork.

    •Conduct surface finish checks for manufacturing and final acceptance of parts.

    •Documentation and reporting of final inspection findings/results.

    •Become familiar with “Special Processes” (i.e. Weld, Heat treat, Shotpeen, etc.)

    •Ability to pass an eye test to include color vision. (Tested annually)

    •Other duties as assigned.

  • 2nd Shift Dimensional Lab / CMM Operator

     

    • Fulltime first shift (7 am – 3:30 pm) M-F while training.  Will move to 2nd shift (3:15pm -11:45pm) when training is completed.

    PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •Experience a plus, but not required.  Training will be provided.

    •Ability to learn layout techniques to correlate gauging and tooling. Inspects and adjusts gages, measuring instruments and testing equipment for conformance to blueprints specifications.

    •Verifies accuracy of gages and measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gages, calipers, micrometers, height gages and electrical and functional gages, using master gages or master parts.

    •Examine gages or measuring instruments for wear and/or adjustments.

    •Disassembles inaccurate or worn gages and measuring instruments with hand tools.

    •Inspects parts for wear, warping or other defects. Verifies dimensions of parts against blueprint specifications, using gage blocks, micrometers, sine bar, bevel protractor and other calibrated measuring instruments.

    •Inspects accuracy of new gages and instruments for conformance to blueprints or customer specs before they are released for production usage.

    •Familiarity with CMMs (i.e. Zeiss).  Willingness to learn programming.

    •Must pass eye examination and have vision adjusted to 20/20.

    •Able to understand, read and interpret blueprints. Good knowledge and usage of mathematics.

    •Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to use good judgment. Other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    •Knowledge and experience for a majority number of the following: micrometers, master square, dial bore gage, indicators, radius gages, thread plug, sine bars, dial calipers, air plug gage, air ring gage, squareness gage, guillotine gage, protractors, thread snap, sine plates, vernier calipers, vernier height gage, flush pin gage, templates and holder arms, receiver gage, thread ring gage.       •Able to lift, push and/or pull up to and including approximately 60 pounds.

  • TOOL MAKER

    PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •Candidate must be able to fabricate, modify and repair fixtures, gages and other components required to support the manufacturing processes used to machine turbine blades and vanes.

    •Ability to read, understand and work to tooling drawings and work tight tolerances. (+/- .0002 in).

    •Must have basic math skills and be able to use a calculator utilizing basic trigonometric functions.

    •Must understand and be able to set-up and work with simple and compound angles. Basic tool making machining skills including setting and running: grinders, lathes, mills, wire EDMs, etc.

    •Must be able to assemble machined components to tight tolerances.  

    •Ability to perform quality work while meeting estimated times.

    •Must also be available and able to work substituted or additional hours for 2nd shift if needed.

  • PRECISION POLISHER

    PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    •Responsible for operating polish machinery including but not limited to air grinders and bench motors to perform polish operations.

    • Perform polish operations on various metal alloy parts, according to prescribed specifications in processes, layouts, blue prints and/or work instructions.
    • Interpret & complete a variety of instructions in oral, written, diagrammatic form &perform ordinary arithmetic, algebraic & geometric procedures in practical applications.
    • Inspect dimensions of completed operations using various gages.
    • Follow safety requirements.

    • Communicate improvements and ideas for more effective cost control or improved processes, problems and deviations to supervisor .                  

    • Meet or exceed the rate of production and quality requirements for each operation.                       

    •Experience a plus, but not required.  We will train.
